So ... I was talking yesterday about what had happened since April 16th ... and I totally forgot one thing. Carrie Underwood won Entertainer of the Year at the 2009 ACM's. That is a huge deal because that category had been dominated by males since Shania Twain won that prestigious award in 1999. She made history in becoming only the 7th female to win Entertainer of the Year ... she also stopped Kenny Chesney's streak of 4 EotY wins in a row.
She's the shiznit. She definitely deserved the award. I'm proud to be her fan ... and I'm extremely glad I was one of the many fans that voted for her in this category.-------
